Our Lady of Lourdes School follows the admission policies of the Archdiocese of St. Louis; final acceptance into Our Lady of Lourdes School is handled by the school Principal in consultation with the Parish Pastor.
ADMISSIONS TIMELINE FOR THE 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR
Second and third weeks of January
Students currently enrolled who will be returning and Prospective Students of parishioners who have siblings currently enrolled in OLOL school.
Fourth and fifth weeks of January (into February)
Children who will be new to Our Lady of Lourdes school, whose parent(s) are parishioners, and who do not have siblings currently attending Our Lady of Lourdes school. Children who will be new to Our Lady of Lourdes, whose parents are non-parishioners and who have siblings currently attending Our Lady of Lourdes.
First week of February
Students who are new to Our Lady of Lourdes and whose parent(s) are non-Parishioners, and who do not have siblings attending Our Lady of Lourdes. Among non-Parishioners priority will be given first to Catholic students and then to non-Catholic students.
Reminders for Prospective Kindergartners:
NOTE: If more students at the same priority level apply than are available spaces, then the Principal and the Parish Pastor, who have final discretion in admission decisions, may employ the use of a lottery system.
The School Board determines tuition rates for each school year and these rates are then approved by the Pastor and Finance Committee. The School Board is committed to keeping Our Lady of Lourdes School affordable for every family in the parish.
Tuition may be paid in full in August or paid over a ten month period from August through May. Tuition rates for the 2018-19 school year as follows:
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish has contracted with the Grant and Aid Assessment Program run by FACTS to assist in determining financial need of school families. Any family requesting assistance should apply through the FACTS program. Applications can be made online through the FACTS Grant and Aid Program. Applications are also available at the rectory. Please remember that if a family's financial situation changes at any time during the school year, tuition assistance may be available. If you anticipate any problems paying for your child's education, please contact the parish pastor as soon as possible, 314.726.6200. All contacts remain confidential.
CATHOLIC FAMILY TUITION ASSISTANCE ENDOWMENT FUND
The CFTA funds are available to Catholic Families and Catholic students to attend Archdiocesan elementary schools and high schools (K-12). Preschool and Private Schools do not qualify. The student and at least one parent must be Catholic to be eligible for this grant. Scholarship awards are based upon financial need. Apply online beginning January 29, 2018. Application due date is February 29, 2018. Dates are similar each year.
Uniform Dress Code
The purpose of a dress code, as with all school policies, is to create a learning climate in the school, which will foster self-esteem, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility in each student.
