OLOL Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
Our Lady of Lourdes Parent Teacher Association is made up of volunteer parents acting as liaisons to school administration, faculty and parents. Meetings are held twice per year in the Fall and Spring. The entire school committee is invited to attend.
PTA dues are $25 per family and paid through the consolidated invoice at the beginning of the school year or a separate check payable to OLOL PTA on Sneak a Peek Sunday. Dues help pay for PTA initiatives that benefit OLOL students, teachers, and families. Other suggested contributions include $15 per student for classroom parties (note: individual classrooms may coordinate a collection for homeroom teachers’ gifts at Christmas and year end). Dues and suggested contributions are completely voluntary.
PTA initiatives include the following:
New Parent Orientation – August
An informative welcome event for new OLOL School families; introduction to school, K-teachers, School Board, Finance Committee, Athletic Association, and PTA.
Middle School Co-Coordinator
Liaison between school and families to ensure coordination of initiatives for Middle School students.
Room parents help plan and host three classroom parties each year and help with Donut Sunday for the class above (i.e. 1st grade room parents host the Donut Sunday after the 2nd grade mass).
Spirit Items and Uniforms
OLOL Spirit Items
Spirit Items, such as cups, pencils, pens, magnets, draw string bags, can cozies and water bottles (with the OLOL logo) are available for purchase.
Lands’ End Uniforms and Athletic wear
Uniform shirts (with or without the logo), pants, shorts and athletic shirts are available for purchase through Lands’ End. Sign up for an account and receive special uniform discounts. www.landsend.com School Code 900078593
OLOL Red and Navy Logo Sweatshirts/Shorts
Red and Navy logo sweatshirts and navy shorts are available for purchase through the PTA. Once a minimum order quantity is reached, an order can be placed. Orders are placed periodically during the year.
The PTA funds and volunteers prepare lunch for all the teachers and staff at each monthly faculty meeting.
